Favorite Spica Journey Memory:

Lola learning to "crawl" in her cast. She was every where after only 5 days

Biggest Lesson Learned:

My child is amazing, she took every thing in her stride and was always happy and smiling I thought we were going to have a tough time whilst in cast.

What Do You Wish You Knew:

That we needed new highchairs, car seats etc. We weren't given any info before her surgery and cast!

Favorite Gear or Must Have Item:

Bean bag, leg warmers (to save them little legs whilst moving around in cast).

Final Thoughts or Advice:

Its a scary time before hand knowing your child is facing surgery and life in cast, but i joined groups on facebook and felt so much better knowing that we weren't alone going through this journey. Always someone to help and give advice Lola is 3 now (nearly 4) and she is like any normal child her age running, climbing etc. Her hip is great at the minute, we go back in February 2017 for her two year review. Hang in there, it does get easier and its only for a short while. Our spica children are warriors!
