A folded pillow and clip on chair harness, and age 4-5 year knee high socks for 'tights'

Final Thoughts or Advice:

Ask for help, advice and support, even if you have what you think is a silly question or thought, because it all boils down to giving your child the best you possibly can! And if that means you ask complete strangers how to clean poop off of your babies back in a 2 cm gap, then you ask! 
Remember to write questions specifically about your child's case down for your consultant, nothing worse than leaving an appointment and remembering a question you didn't ask. 
Don't go mad with one size of nappy before your child has a spica fitted, see if you can have a couple of each size from people you may know, see what fits and then stock up. 
You can never prepare yourself for something you've never experienced, so don't be shocked to find that you don't know what you're doing. It's like having a new baby all over again, but this time you have the advantage that you know them well, and they know you.
