You need support. Your family and friends will be key, but odds are they have not lived the spica life. There is a strong community of other spica parents out there that want to help and answer your questions.

The fastest and most helpful community we have found is through the DDH - Hip Dysplasia - Children Facing Surgery or Spica Casts Group on Facebook. This thriving community of spica parents can answer questions more specific to your situation, offer encouragement, or simply share with you in your experiences common to spica life. Request the group Admins to become part of this private group.
